What We Collect
We collect limited account, wellness, technical, security, and subscription information needed to operate Phineas and provide the experience you request.
The primary identifying information required to establish and maintain an account is your verified email address and an internal customer identifier. If you have a paid subscription, we also maintain limited information needed to connect your account with our third-party payment processor. Neuriah, Inc. does not store your complete payment card information.
Because your conversations with Phineas are directed by you, you may choose to share personal information about your life, relationships, experiences, goals, concerns, health, beliefs, sexual orientation, or other matters. We do not require you to provide this information as part of your account profile, but information you voluntarily share may be processed as part of your wellness experience.
What We Intentionally Limit
We believe one of the best ways to protect information is not to collect information we do not need.
We generally avoid requiring unnecessary identifying information such as government identification numbers, payment card numbers, or home addresses to use the core Phineas service.
At the same time, we want to be transparent: Phineas is designed for open wellness conversations. You may voluntarily share information that is personal or sensitive during those conversations.
Your Conversations
Phineas temporarily maintains the raw transcript of your conversation so we can operate and support the service.
Raw Session Transcripts are deleted from Neuriah, Inc.'s active database within 30 days of the applicable session, unless longer retention is required by law or necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation.
Raw Session Transcripts do not follow you from session to session.
How Phineas Remembers You
One of the features of Phineas is its ability to provide continuity from one conversation to the next.
To do this, Phineas creates and maintains an AI-generated Longitudinal Record based on information you voluntarily share.
Your Longitudinal Record may include information that helps Phineas understand and remember important context about you, for example your goals, preferences, important experiences, recurring concerns, relationships, or the names of people you discuss.
It may also include personal or sensitive information you voluntarily share when that information is relevant to understanding your circumstances and providing continuity in future conversations.
Unlike a raw Session Transcript, the Longitudinal Record is designed to follow you from session to session. This allows Phineas to remember relevant information without requiring Neuriah, Inc. to retain your complete conversation history indefinitely.
Mood Assessment
Phineas may use biometric or sensory signals for the limited purpose of generating a mood-related assessment.
We do not use facial recognition or biometric information to uniquely identify or authenticate you.
Neuriah, Inc. does not retain the underlying biometric or sensory source data used to generate the mood assessment. However, the resulting mood assessment or score is maintained in your historical Longitudinal Record.
This allows Phineas to assess changes in mood over time, compare the assessment with how you describe your own mood, and reference historical mood information when it may be useful to your wellness experience.
Sensitive Information
Wellness conversations can involve deeply personal subjects. You may voluntarily tell Phineas about your health, relationships, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, employment, family circumstances, or other sensitive aspects of your life.
We do not require this information as part of your account profile. However, if you choose to share it, it may appear temporarily in your Session Transcript and relevant information may become part of your Longitudinal Record when it is useful for continuity and personalization.
We treat this information as deserving a high level of care.
Do We Sell Your Information?
No.
Neuriah, Inc. does not sell your Personal Information, Wellness Information, or Sensitive Personal Information.
We do not sell your conversations or Longitudinal Record, provide this information to data brokers, or use your Wellness Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How We Use AI
Phineas uses artificial intelligence to support wellness conversations, reflection, journaling, personalization, and continuity across sessions.
AI may use information from your Longitudinal Record to provide context for future conversations.
Phineas is a wellness service. It is not intended to diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions or replace licensed healthcare or mental health professionals.
Your Choices
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the ability to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain information.
We believe meaningful user control is an important part of responsible AI and privacy.

Neuriah operates Phineas, an AI-assisted wellness service designed to support personal reflection, journaling, wellness conversations, and continuity over time.
We recognize that information shared with Phineas may be deeply personal. We are committed to handling that information responsibly and transparently.
From the earliest stages of development, we have sought to incorporate privacy into the architecture of Phineas rather than treating privacy as an afterthought. Privacy by Design influences how we develop features, evaluate vendors, govern artificial intelligence, protect information, and continually improve the service.
